The fashion/trend scene has come to a full circle again.  This time designer houses from Chanel to Proenza Schouler to Cambridge Satchel are lining up some fancy design for it.  Yes, it's backpack time once more. Now, as usual I like to recall and track trends back in my days and I remember the time when backpack was a huge hit. I had a couple (circa 1994 -1997) and also as always, I try to safe at least one item from the past trend. I still have my iconic black nylon backpack from Moschino (with the slightly tacky, very 90s gold lettering) and I've been using it once in a blue moon for travelling especially when hiking is involved. But to use it or get a new improved design backpack for daily basis, hmmm...., I'm not quite sure.

Would you?

  1. I do like a fancy backpack but London life has made me paranoid and somewhat nervous about someone dipping into my bag and taking something. Isn't that awful? I hate to be suspicious yet I have seen it so many times. I should get over myself and try one. I normally reserve back packs for my adventures but you've tempted me!!

    1. O, sure I am a paranoid too when I travel on the train be it in London or Rome (even worst, I think) or anywhere. That's why my backpack is only for hiking :)

  2. Now you've made me curious! Did I or didn't I keep my favourite backpack from the 90s? If I kept it, where is it? I will have to search! Then comes the same question as yours; would I use it again? I'm not sure.

    1. You too were a fan in the 90s? I think we all should safe something from these trends as they keep on coming back!

    2. Well, I found a backpack that I'd forgotten all about but not the one I was thinking of! I also found a couple of hats that I didn't know I'd kept. It must be time to do a major clean out of my storage areas! It's always difficult to decide what to keep, which trends will repeat and whether we will still like them when they do.

  3. Yeah! A trend that I love is back! I love the soft dove gray look of the Alexander Wang bag .. sigh, slightly out of my price range.

  4. I love backpacks but find it unpractical to take them on and off everytime I need something and also paranoid someone will knick something without me noticing! Love the Marc Jacob's one! xxx

  5. It would probably be very practical for work... But no, absolutely no.

  6. I am not so sure I would use a backpack on a daily basis either, because for me they are not very practical! But for the looks, it is a definite yes! :)

  10. Yes! Backpacks are totally back in style - they're not just for middle school anymore! Love these sophisticated versions. You're right on point here :)

  11. I know it is on trend. You have shown us very pretty ones, but I just don't like backpacks. I think they are too childish and I don't want to carry anything on my back. Sorry.
