Its mule time again!  After disappearing from the fashion world for a while mules are making a come back again.  I remember back in the 90s, most pairs of shoes I own were mules on platform of which I used to wear with mini t.shirts, Levi's 501 button fly jeans and my cute Louis Vuitton mini pochette. I don't remember what happened to all of them but one pair, my croc Stuart Weiztman that looks very similar to the last picture above, that I still keep due to sentimental reason. The only down side of that pair is the fact that I hate the way my toes look in them.. too much toes is not a good look in my opinion.

Are you feeling the mules?

  1. They look so pretty but are not very parcatical, are they? I can just picture myself running for the bus, my shoe flying through the air... No, wait, this actually happened, which is why I stopped wearing shoes like that... But they do look pretty.

  3. I have this funny idea about mules - I feel like I'm been cheated out of having a whole shoe .. like where's the back of the shoe .. lol. I'm more of a clog fan, but I guess you could say the same thing about clogs :-P Ok, I'm nuts.

  6. I haven't had a pair of mules in my life yet but I'm really hoping to change that this season - if I could get my hands on that pair with the bejeweled wedge heel, I would be a very happy camper! Although the pairs in the last shot are gorgeous, too. So elegant.

  7. Mules are not particularly my style, however props to you lovely lady for finding examples of this style that are pretty cute! I especially like the last two for the exact reason you mentioned at the end. They are not showing too much of toes. ( which can be the downfall of this style) Could give smt. like those one more chance. :) XOXO, Elif

  9. Love, love, love mules! I was only a kid in 90's,therefore I don't quite remember these type of shoes ( though, I think I did saw my mom wearing something similar to them!). I don't even actually mind the fact that toes are showing, because now we can show off our beautiful pedicures, right? :)

  10. LOL! Mules! Oh they remind me of the 90's so much. I hate them with a passion, that said I'll probably conform and buy a pair sadly. I hate the way toes sit in them, too much toes and overexposed toe cleavage. That first pair but, the small peep toe are a little cute but.

  11. To my mind such shoes are not practical, they look stylish, though. Probably, one pair is worth buying:) Lovely snapshots as well! Such an interesting post turned out, I enjoyed it very much!
    Have a fabulous time!

  13. Agreed, too much toes is not a good thing for me either. And I didn't like mules after the eighties anymore. I sometimes kicked them off accidently, hurting my heels. No I go for slingbacks with a closed toe in summer is I can. A few (very few) sandals thrown in.
