Wardrobe must have # 2 - Classic ballet flat

Ever since Audrey Hepburn started the trend when she appeared sporting a pair of capri pants and black ballet flats, she put the simple flats in a class of their own. 

Ballet flats could be understated but paired with the right outfit it spells ‘chic’ with capital C!  Try them with a pair of capris or skinny jeans or even shorts for chic summer look.  Pair them with a trench coat or knee length skirt and you get that classic timeless look.  They are so versatile and evergreen, they are a must have for every season and occasion.

Splurge - Chanel Cambon Flat

Choose the one with a classic cut and not too much frill or buckles on them and they'll take you from casual to elegant.  If you are ‘vertically challenged’ like yours truly, choose the one with a slight heels for an instance lift.

Mid range - Cole Haan

It is also crucial to find a comfortable pair and quality counts too.  There are many wonderful pairs that fit every budget.   My dream pair is Chanel Cambon flats with interlocking C which I still couldn’t justify myself to take the plunge.
