Life Lately..

Last few days has been busy for me. Everything has to happened at once!  One of the twins fractured his finger during a volley ball game and had to rush to the orthopedic hospital. Thank Goodness it was nothing serious, just a small fracture. So, doctors advice was for him to have no contact sports for a couple of months and no piano practice for a while.  On top of that we had to do the usual expat 'run' to settle the documentations like visa, ID, passport renewal.. you name it. I too had to do some research on accommodation, places to visit and other activities for our upcoming trip to the south of Italy early next month. Like all that was not enough, today I had to visit my dentist for a my first part of a root canal process (yikes!)  Yes, it has been quite a busy week for me.

So, for the last week, my uniform has been either t.shirt, jeans and a pair of Birkenstock or t.shirt, jeans and a pair of Birkenstock! (nope, no typing error there) This one here was the best of them all, so please excuse me if this weeks's outfit post was nothing special but hey, that's the reality, right? Lets see what can I tell you about this look? Well, I can confirm that the jeans is one of the most comfortable pairs I've ever had!  Can never go wrong with a pair of Levi's, that's for sure.  The bag is an old friend.. had her for a long while, so long that the denim fabric she's made of, in this particular color is no longer available as it was discontinued by Louis Vuitton a few years back. Love this bag, perfect for running errand.

So, enough with me.. what about you?  How was your week? Was it as busy as mine? As always I would love to hear about you, so do share with me :)

  1. When you're busy laid back casual is the way to go, but you still look fabulous! Not super busy this week, but work has been insane lately. We have a new superintendent and big, big changes are happening...including a really exciting one for me. I'll give the deets on the blog once it's official. :)

  4. The shape of the jacket adds a lot to this look. So much more interesting than a plain old hoodie. Have fun in Italy!!

  5. I love your look... comfy, casual but still very put together. I can't wait to hear all about your trip to Italy! I want to travel there myself someday but for now, I will have to enjoy it vicariously. As for my week, it was not one of the best. I learned that I have to have 30 radiation treatments; once a day Monday to Friday for six weeks. Since the treatment centre is a two and a half hour drive from home, we will stay in the city during the week and come home on the weekends. I guess that will be our "holiday" this summer!

  8. Sorry to hear about your child. Your relaxed look is great, though. It's been quite hectic, workwise, and the heatwave isn't helping... My flat is turning into a sauna, and with the 4-5 hours of "night" semi-darkness we get this time of the year it doesn't cool down at night at all... But I'm off to Britain later this week, it should be cooler there.

  12. The shape of your jacket is so fun but I don't see the Birkenstocks on you or are these flats a version I haven't seen around? I personally am not a fan of Birkenstocks, they remind me too much on my grunge days. Hope you week is not as crazy and get to plan your vacation to Italy.

    1. No, Alice.. that flats an old one from Cole Haan. This particular day I had to retire the BIrkenstock as I needed to go in a Government's office.. thought it would be appropriate to put on a pair of close shoes instead :)
