Spring/Summer must have! - Little white Crochet/Lace dress

If there is one trend that I am really looking forward to try this season, it would be the little lace or crochet dress.  This trend has been coming and going for a while but this time around it came back with a bomb!  So many choices to choose from and the lace are more delicate and some with exceptional quality.

In my opinion it is important to keep the dress classic and tasteful while being trendy and not looking trashy or tacky.  Oh, yes, it can look tacky alright! Right length is key to the dress, too short or too long can be very unflattering. Avoid cutouts or see through patches (except for the arms), unless we are Madonna, Ga-Ga or a runway model strutting the catwalk, mere mortals like us would not be able to pull off this look without sending the wrong message.  Showing too much skin doesn't ring a sexy bell instead try looking for a nicely shaped, simple clean line dress for a more classic look. 

In short, I believe that white lace/crochet dress is a great piece to have in the wardrobe given a proper style.  Here are some of my choices - sleeveless, short sleeves and longer sleeves version

    Quite pretty! Some are a bit short for me .. but there are some good lengths .. Think I like the Catherine Malandrino dress the best .. of course, I would .. it's fairly expensive .. lol

      I know.. it cost an arm and leg but so so beautiful! I bought a pair from Karen Kane which I though is quite nice in good price range. Hope to post her here on the blog soon :)

    I love this trend because I love lace. Actually I bought a white lacy dress two years ago, when there was no lace boom yet. Mine is very similar to the one you showed here, from Velvet with longish sleeves.

    The Catherine Melandrino looks so sleek and classy, i would love to have a similar one! you have such classy taste, love these picks!
    anyways, every summer i always get myself a piece or two of white lace or crochet dress, it is indeed a must have for summer. perfect for resort outfits :)

    These dresses are all So Pretty! I've always thought my colouring was too pale for a white lace dress, but a couple of the photos show models who are, in fact, quite fair. Perhaps I will try something similar on. See, this is one of the cool things about blog reading. I learn new things everyday. {PS, loved your travel post too}

      Thank you, Sue :) Truly appreciate it. I think white is versatile hence the white wedding dress. There's something pure and soft about it that is not pretentious in my opinion
