Trending This Week...

I am not so much of a 'make-up' girl. I use a bit of mascara, some light color lipstick and that's about it BUT I am all for skin care. I don't leave home without my SPF 50 and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

For moisturizer I have been using Creme de La Mer for a while until recently when I found out that they came up with the lighter version of this fabulous cream called La Mer Moisturizing Light Cream. Living in Dubai can be tricky for skin when one tends to be in an air-conditioning home 24/7 while outside can get really hot and sticky 6 to 7 months of the year.  I found that the original Cream de La Mer tend to be heavier on the hot days and other lighter moisturizers would not do enough against air conditioning hazard I faced indoor. I needed to find a compromise and along came this lighter version!

Lighter version La Mer Moisturing Soft Cream

The lighter version gives the same moisturizing capability as the original yet lighter and less sticky for the hot weather outside.. I guess my prayer has been answered!

Have a great weekend, everybody and see you all on Monday for another style post.  Meanwhile sending you a huge hug and kisses from the land of sun, sand and surf.. Dubai!!

  2. Ooh, luxury for your skin! Do you use this moisturizer and sunscreen together, or a combo formula?

    1. Lisa, I use the cream and sunscreen on top. For sunscreen I use Kiehl's Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ It is very hard to find sunscreen that is light on the skin with 50+ coverage and I don't think La Mer has any combo formula of moisturizer and SPF

    1. It is slightly cheaper and when I visit your fabulous city LA once a year, I stock up since it is cheaper than in Dubai. For my skin I am willing to spend a bit. I guess I save on the makeup and spend it on skin care :)

  4. I love La Mer! It was my favorite skin care brand for several years, but then I started studying for my pilot license and had to cut down on my beauty supplies.

  6. Oooh, I have never tried this, but I use the super cheap cousin creme from Nivea and cannot live without it. My skin is very, very dry and this helps tremendously. I bet La Mer is amazing!
