Current Obsession - Fedora and Panama

Greetings everyone! Hope the week has been treating all of you well so far.  My boys finished their exams and it is time now to exhale, kick back and relax!

I sometimes consider myself as sort of a 'late bloomer'.  Sometimes it takes me a while to find the 'courage' to try something; be it new activity, new gadget or even trend.  Take this hat trend for an example; I've always adored the look but couldn't bring myself to try until now.  Why?  Maybe because I don't see myself as the hat kind or that I am stylish enough to wear this trend without it wearing me instead.

But, one day I found the guts to just grab one and confidently placed it on my head and it once I found the right one for my face shape, there was no turning back.  Now I am obsessed!  I had to  close my eyes and walk away when I see them in many beautiful colors and style looking so fun and pretty so that I will not end up with a closet full of fedoras and Panamas!

  1. I'm with you on this one. Sometimes it takes me a bit to get accustomed to something but then I try it, love it and take off with it.
On the other hand I have always loved hats. My collection is rather small probably due to lack of closet space to properly store them (I hate scrunched up/bunched up hats). Don't you?

    Happy Wednesday!

  6. Sometimes it takes me time to warm up to trends too. I actually have a fedora that's been sitting in my closet since last summer...every time I try it on, I'm not sure how it looks on my head, ha.

    1. Sharon, sometimes we tend to think we look odd with them on because we are not used to seeing ourselves with them.. given time, you should have a change of heart ;)

  8. What a great collection of Fedora's! I've only ever been brave enough to wear them to outside events - never as part of my daily wardrobe, but you're inspiring me. :)

  21. I'm definitely a hat girl. I wear them all year round. Christy's does beautiful hats if you ever get a chance to check them out. They're a traditional hatmaker here in the UK. Been around for hundreds of years.
