Simplicity is BEST!

Another week had past and I apologize for the lack of posts on the blog and my presence on yours.  My parents are still in town and I have been spending some quality time with them. I took my mom out for some shopping trips even if she hardly bought anything for herself and spent a great deal of time with my sport enthusiast dad watching World Snooker Championship on TV. We were rooting for 2 different players and it was like music to my ears listening to him cheering in all his excitement.. God, I love my old man :) I'm going to miss him and my mom when they leave this Saturday.

Back on track with this week's outfit post, I would like to propose a toast... to SIMPLICITY! As many know (or not) I am a huge fan of it. I believe that simplicity, if done with great pieces and flattering color co-ordination, it could lead to simple elegance that oozes class and taste. I try to incorporate that in my daily style - some classic pieces like this old shirt from Zara and my new favorite white jeans, combine with a touch of gold accent here and there, is just timeless. Of course what is an outfit if not completed with great pair of shoes (comfortable preferably) and a cute classic bag!

What is your take on simplicity?  Are you a fan?

  9. Simple and chic is often much better than something fussy. Great outfit, love the bracelet! My personal taste veers towards simplicity, too, maybe it's just being Nordic and having grown up with that sort of aesthetic sensibility, maybe it's my not-always-so-simple lifestyle that makes me want to simplify at least one area of my life...

    1. I had the bracelet made years ago based on m grandmother's. I adored hers and decided to go to the goldsmith and had it made just like hers. The design of my grandmother's was old gold coins and hers was the original gold coins but mine had to be made instead :)

  29. So glad you're having fun with the parents. Enjoy, enjoy!
There's simple then there's simply elegant. This idea is what I love best about your aesthetic. Perfect pieces, perfectly combined is what we see from you. As a petite flower, you so get when enough is enough ... I think I often err in not adding the necklace or the ring or the scarf. That's why I sometimes prowl though your posts to put an outfit together.

  30. I love simple outfits with just one or a few pieces drawing attention. Like your necklace... very beautiful. The bag and sandals finish the outfit off very nicely. Well done. Have fun with your parents (they might be gone by now... I am catching up.)
