Spring Cardigan and White Jeans

Spring in Dubai is always over-rated as most of the days are borderline summer with temperature between 34-37.  But some days especially in the beginning could be good and that's when wardrobe staples like light cardigan would come out and play! If you have read my post a few months back, you know that I had let go most of my cardigans from my 'cardigan phase' and kept only a few, some of which I have featured here on the blog. This grey long, super light, almost liquid like cardigan by Dolan is also one of the survivors and can you all see why I love it so much?

The white jeans here by AG Adriano Goldschmied are new. I bought them recently on Shopbop after doing a bit of research in the quest of looking for a pair of white jeans with thinner material than what I already had. I own a pair by American Eagle but they are of a thicker material and for spring summer I would prefer a thinner pair and this new pair is perfect. The 27 inches inseam is a plus for my 5'3" frame even if honestly I would go with 25 inches, that would be PERFECT! If you are interested to try buy this jeans, I would suggest go 1 size down as it stretches quite a bit. I ordered my usual 27 but would do well even with a 26.

These shots for the post were taken on my rooftop. If you look carefully, you could see the Dubai skyline with Burj Khalifa standing erect and proud dominating in the background. I love the view from up here especially at night when the lights on each buildings create a breathtaking view.  Notice the cranes scattered here and there? Dubai is building big time, getting ready for the World Expo 2020 when it will play host. We are talking about tall buildings, squares, shopping areas, parks and a canal that will run through the city all the way to the sea. Now, that I can't wait to see!

  2. The all white with gray is perfect! I never thought I'd like white jeans until I bought a pair a few months ago, but I love them. The background of your photos is beautiful...if you look closely in mine you can usually see the roof of my neighbors house...lol!

  8. White and gray, my all time favorite combination. I seriously could wear this combo every day. You are truly looking specular in this combination. Jan and I were discussing at our meet up that the dream place to visit and meet would be in Dubai with the ever beautiful Mrs. C.

  9. I can appreciate wanting a more lightweight fabric for hot weather. You've managed to find a great pair of white jeans that don't look "fleshy". So many of the thinner light pants look semi-transparent - which is NOT a good look for anybody! Yours are very flattering ;-)

  20. AG jeans are some of the best out there -and you look fabulous in them! I must say, you are very brave with your whites! I love your hooded cardigan and your description that it's "liquid." Definitely a keeper!

  21. Oh wow the weather sounds very hot in Dubai! I don't mind temperature beeing around +30C, but +37C sounds a bit hectic!
Anyways, I really like your outfit- I like the classic colors you chose and how you assembled them in your outfit! White color suits you extremely well! :)

  22. Pretty, pretty you! The gray and white knock me out. That combination just carries a lot of cool. Sweet little jeans ... I've tried on so many skinnies, and am having trouble finding thick enough denim so there's no see-through!

  27. Wow! Just Wow! You are a city girl! What a fantastic location to live; although 34 - 37 for a springtime temp is like my sauna, LOL. Yet, you ALWAYS look so fresh, and cool! I guess we adapt to our climates. White jeans are the best for creating a cool look! You wear these well!

  28. One of the great things I admire about you is that you know your style and you're honest about what works for you and what does not. You choose the right quality and materials that fit your environment as well. Great choice in keeping the grey cardigan. Picture #4 is awesome as you can see it catching wind and billowing. Very simple and yet elegant and chic. Especially when clutching that purse!

I have never been to Dubai and the Burj (is it 7 star?) has always intrigued me. Maybe someday our family will get to visit.

    1. Thanks, Karen :) you are too nice! There are 2 Burj here in Dubai - Burj Al Arab and the one in the background in the picture Burj Khalifa. Burj Al-Arab is the only 7 Stars hotel in the world is on the beach, quite far from me, it's in the shape of a sail boat. The one that is close to me is Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world and it hosts some apartments, offices and the elegant Armani Hotel. Do let me know if you ever decided to visit.. would love to meet up :)
