Happy Monday, friends!
Honestly, I was not a fan of Victoria Beckham's past style. I thought of it being exaggerated, impractical and too flashy at times. She tend to look trashy too in the past. But lately especially after claiming the title of fashion designer, she kind of cleaned up quite well and gone were the excessive cleavage bearing tops and emerged is the more subtle and classy Victoria. I am a huge fan!
Victoria Beckham's effortless yet classy style
So, this week's post I dedicate it to her and her fabulous style. I 'borrowed' this effortless 3-piece look of hers and re-dress it using what I have in my closet. This look is perfect for Dubai in between seasons and can be dressed up and down by swapping the heels with a pair of comfy flats. The loose pants trend is just fab, I can sleep in this pair and my only wish is that they come in many other colors!
What about you? Have you always been a fan of Victoria Beckham's style? Would love to hear your thoughts on this, so do share!

You look way better! Why does she never smile, she'd look a lot nicer! x
ReplyDeleteHi there- you look really effortlessly casual and chic, love your outfit xx
ReplyDeleteExcellent post! You recreated her look successfully from your closet! I am inspired by your pairings! You look effortlessly chic! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vix - you look way better than Victoria with a warm smile on your lips. And I like your choice of black shoes instead of those in pastel colour of Victoria's.
ReplyDeletewow! you nailed it with this look! love it! found you via the link up.

You pull off that style beautifully! I've never tried to wear that type of pants before, but it really looks good on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the look, especially the pants! I found you via Pam @ over50feeling40. So glad I did!

I think Victoria really has a wonderful sense of style and I really admire her outfit. It's just that nice classic casual look that I love. You did a wonderful copy cat look :-)

Effortless but your style is great ! I love your pants ; I'm not a V Beckham' s fan but I have "Wanabe" on my I Pod : oldies but goodies ! Thanks for your visit on my blog
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen those pants, but I do like them. I adore the Beckham line and wish I could find it in stores so I could try it... but since it's out of my price range it's better that I can't. I'd probably give in and want something :) Her dresses are exactly what I'd want: simple yet stunning, impeccable tailoring with classic shapes, but a twist to give them a bit of oomph. They are much more subtle than her past style, she's more "posh" than her past!

I agree, her dresses are stunning and classic :)
DeleteSuper cute! I love when someone take a celebrities style and makes it realistic for normal people!

I never was much of a fan of Victoria but I did kind of admire her. Now I am a fan and I think she has done so well. I bow and take my hat off to her.
ReplyDeleteYour lending project is very successful. Looking very smart. And I can understand why you love those trousers so much. (Been there, done that.)

You hit this one out of the park! Effortlessly BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteI don't really have an opinion about Ms Beckham. Her husband, on the other hand... Wowzer! (I don't really follow either of them. Are they even still married?)
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is a perfect reflection of the one pictured. Simple, casual elegance suits you.
Laurie, yeah.. Mr Beckham anytime here too! I am pretty sure they are still married and pretty solid too.
DeleteSimple, sexy and chic.
ReplyDeleteI do actually quite like V's style. She has a good eye.
bisous

Perfect re-creation! You look so cool...and don't you just love slouchy pants?

DeleteYou totally pulled off this look! Nice. :-)

I have also thought of VB's style as way too flashy for me, but maybe things have changed! I'll be interested in taking another look, if it works as well as your little ensemble here!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous job you did, too. Excellent inspired outfit. How effortlessly chic you look! That jacket is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes try this technique, but I've learned is that the wonderful, clean lines I admire on others and aspire to do not appear on my figure. Or at least very often.
VB has grown up a lot in recent years and I imagine she has been thinking about her taste in different ways as she refines and designs her own work. I wonder if it has anything to do with being the mother of a growing little girl?
I guess that plays a role too.. we all change with age and time :)
DeleteMrs C, you looked fab! I love your take on this outfit! I love VB but her clothes and bags are way overpriced. Hahaha.

Are they? I wouldn't know Jo because there's no way I can find any here at least
DeleteHi Friend!!!! You absolutely NAILED this look! I definitely think VB's style has evolved over the years and I particularly love this outfit inspiration you took from her! One of my favorites from you!
ReplyDeleteVictoria's new style- I agree with you. Its sleek and ladylike-love your look!
ReplyDeletepassionateturban.blogspot.com
I adore this style and especially those trousers!! I have a few of them in different colours because when i found the first one, my husband couldn't stop complimenting me so i thought hmmm i've done something right here, u see i'm one of the unfortunate ones who cannot wear jeans even though i love jeans, jeans doesn't love me back (sad i know) so these loose trousers seem to have done the trick for my supercurvy figure :)) and the jacket!! Jackets are a must for me! I LOVE this look!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I have more of this pants.. extremely comfortable and falls perfectly! They'll look good even with just plain t.shirt and sandals. Lucky you to have found them in many colors!
DeleteYou did a great job recreating this simple yet chic look! Victoria has really stepped up her style the last few years!
