Style Inspiration - Victoria Beckham

Happy Monday, friends!

Honestly, I was not a fan of Victoria Beckham's past style. I thought of it being exaggerated, impractical and too flashy at times. She tend to look trashy too in the past.  But lately especially after claiming the title of fashion designer, she kind of cleaned up quite well and gone were the excessive cleavage bearing tops and emerged is the more subtle and classy Victoria.  I am a huge fan!

Victoria Beckham's effortless yet classy style

So, this week's post I dedicate it to her and her fabulous style. I 'borrowed' this effortless 3-piece look  of hers and re-dress it using what I have in my closet. This look is perfect for Dubai in between seasons and can be dressed up and down by swapping the heels with a pair of comfy flats. The loose pants trend is just fab, I can sleep in this pair and my only wish is that they come in many other colors!

What about you?  Have you always been a fan of Victoria Beckham's style?  Would love to hear your thoughts on this, so do share!

  5. I agree with Vix - you look way better than Victoria with a warm smile on your lips. And I like your choice of black shoes instead of those in pastel colour of Victoria's.

  14. I hadn't seen those pants, but I do like them. I adore the Beckham line and wish I could find it in stores so I could try it... but since it's out of my price range it's better that I can't. I'd probably give in and want something :) Her dresses are exactly what I'd want: simple yet stunning, impeccable tailoring with classic shapes, but a twist to give them a bit of oomph. They are much more subtle than her past style, she's more "posh" than her past!

Your lending project is very successful. Looking very smart. And I can understand why you love those trousers so much. (Been there, done that.)

  19. I don't really have an opinion about Ms Beckham. Her husband, on the other hand... Wowzer! (I don't really follow either of them. Are they even still married?)

Your outfit is a perfect reflection of the one pictured. Simple, casual elegance suits you.

  23. I have also thought of VB's style as way too flashy for me, but maybe things have changed! I'll be interested in taking another look, if it works as well as your little ensemble here!

  24. What a fabulous job you did, too. Excellent inspired outfit. How effortlessly chic you look! That jacket is a beauty.
I sometimes try this technique, but I've learned is that the wonderful, clean lines I admire on others and aspire to do not appear on my figure. Or at least very often.
VB has grown up a lot in recent years and I imagine she has been thinking about her taste in different ways as she refines and designs her own work. I wonder if it has anything to do with being the mother of a growing little girl?

  28. I adore this style and especially those trousers!! I have a few of them in different colours because when i found the first one, my husband couldn't stop complimenting me so i thought hmmm i've done something right here, u see i'm one of the unfortunate ones who cannot wear jeans even though i love jeans, jeans doesn't love me back (sad i know) so these loose trousers seem to have done the trick for my supercurvy figure :)) and the jacket!! Jackets are a must for me! I LOVE this look!!
