Simple white and cocktail ring

Happy Monday, friends!

It was a long weekend here on this part of the planet as the country celebrated the New Year in Islamic calendar or better known as 'Awal Muharram'.  Lots of celebration were going on and time like this we prefer to stay in and avoid major venues as they can be quite chaotic and packed.  The weather is slowly but surely getting better and it is time to bring back some live to the patio!

Anyway, on with the post, this week's pairing is about white.  They say no white after Labor day.. but for me, nah! I'd wear white all year round!  Why restrict ourselves to the rule that was made by some obnoxious society hundreds of years ago?  And if Coco Chanel broke the rule, why not us?

A simple pairing of  light tunic over a crisp pair of pants is my favorite, just fabulously easy yet elegant, perfect for lunch with some girlfriends or the family. To make sure that this outfit would not turn out monotonous and boring, I paired it with this beautiful LENA fresh water pearl necklace and stunning onyx cocktail ring. I am so in love with these pieces, they are so well made and so versatile! Don't forget to visit LENA's website here to see more beautiful exclusive pieces, and yes, they do ship free worldwide!

So, what about you, do you follow the Labor Day rule?  What is your perfect white pairing? Do share your thoughts!

  1. That is so chic, Mrs C! I love an all-white look, too bad our weather limits us a bit wearing it more often.

  15. Your whole look really works...I wouldn't have imagined it. Then again, I'm afraid to wear while bottoms of any sort!. I adore the addition of your fresh water pearls...I thought that they'd be super light, as well, but their color is fabulous! They appeal to me so much more than "regular" pearls. So glad the weather is finally settling down and you can hang out outside again!

  18. I love white clothing, it's my favourite for holidays when I'm seeking out a bit of sun - always looks great with a tan, which is why you look so good in your outfit. The black details are elegant and the whole effect very relaxed and pleasing. Lovely!

  39. I love your all white look and in your climate, I see no reason not to wear it any time of year! Sadly, white does nothing for my pale complexion so I don't wear it much.

Now that I've found your blog, I'm going back and enjoying some of your earlier posts.
