Tie Dye - Yay or Nay?

Hello, again happy people!  Hope your Easter weekend was a great one, spent with family and friends.  Ours was quiet, with Captain having to work while the boys and I spent some time dancing to Wii Fitness Zumba!

I heard recently that Blogger is going to be obsolete soon?  Is there any truth to this?  Please, will somebody  enlighten me, I am truly in the dark *blush*  Should I be worried or do anything in line with this news? Thanks in advance!

Moving on to this outfit of the week, how do you all like tie dye?  Some of my friends think it is a bit backdated and old fashion but honestly I  kind of like it.  I have a few pieces that I like and this dress is one of them.  I tend to associate tie dye with easy, carefree mood.. reminds me of the hippie 70s!

I paired this dress (that can actually double up as a skirt) with a pair of denim shirt for a more modern and chic look while still keeping the laid back, casual, carefree mood, perfect for an afternoon date to a movie or out for lunch with the girlfriends! What is your take on tie dye? Yay or Nay?

  1. Definitely a Yay from me! It is all about the styling and you have done a perfect job.
The colours suit you so well and you look gorgeous!

Google Reader will disappear but there are doubts whether it will affect GFC yet.
But I don't believe there is anything going on with Blogger since it is a platform while Google Reader is just one of many tools to enable following a blog.

  8. The blue of the shirt and the pink of the dress go together very well. I like how you mixed the casual jeans shirt and the elegant dress. It's a very unique outfit in which you look gorgeous.

  10. I'm going to say yes! I still like certain tye-dye pieces, and especially when paired up with something a little more modern, like your great denim shirt! Aren't we both so hip this week!?!

  19. I love the tie-dye! The way you are wearing it looks so fun and makes you look like you are 25.
As for blogger, I've heard that so many times that I just ignore it. Of course, I could be ignoring it at the wrong time- that would be my luck!

  24. Well, there's tie-dye and then there's tie-dye. I was very glad to see the grubby-earth-woman-bong-water dye go the way of all overdone things, but a new take on it looks interesting again. Much sleeker, much more artful than crafty.
You did good, kid. Classy approach, and elegant result, I think!

  31. There has been so much confusion about the shut down of Google Reader... let me share what I've found out. Basically, for blogger users, nothing is changing. If you use Google Friend Connect to follow and read blogs, you will still have the ability to do that. Google Reader is a platform that looks similar to Google Friend Connect, but they are used for different things and only Google Reader is closing right now.

I hope that clears things up for you! Loving your pink dress, the colour is great on you :)

  37. I think you've already gotten your answer about Blogger not going away, so I'll now talk about what's really important, this dress. I LOVE it. I think I only really like tie-dye that uses a few colors. Too many colors make it seem juvenile, at least to me. Your dress is perfect. It's like a chic grown-up tie-dye. You look beautiful! :)
