A Dose of Animal Print

How much of animal print is considered too much?

Happy Monday, everybody! Hope your weekend was a good one.  For us here it was a blessing!  It was raining here in Dubai which is rare and with that the temperature has gone down a bit.  Nice and fresh!

Back to the topic, how much of animal print is too much?  In my opinion, a dose goes a long way.  How much is a dose, is the next question.  Well, I personally think one item at a time is just nice.  Be it a bag, a pair of killer heels, jeans or in my case here, this light top. Keeping everything else to minimum is also important so not to create the unnecessary clash between patterns or colors.  I chose to pair this top with a simple pair of leggings, shoes and bag in dark color for a more subdued effect and the gold hardware from the belt and bag help compliment the color pallet of the whole ensemble.

What is your rule on wearing animal print?

  6. I love a bit of animal print....agree just one piece at a time. But i do think it looks so much better on dark hair girls, somehow more exotic! xx

  27. I try and limit it to one piece of animal print per outfit. However, I think there might be the rare exception if it's subtle.

  51. I have one item that is animal print. I fondly refer to it as my cat vest. Faux fur, expertly made, and I love it. For me, one piece in my entire wardrobe is enough, LOL. I do agree with your choice of one item of clothing per outfit. And yes, when I think of Dubai, the last thing that comes to mind is rain. It must feel so fresh and cooling when you do receive it, yes?

  52. You look great, and your "dose" seems just right. You look cool and pretty in this sheer blouse ... tasteful hint of dark beneath it. However, a "dose" for me is never been more than a Spy-inspired bag I have. I just can't get over feeling that I look a little "Peg Bundy" in animal prints. My loss, I think.
