They say you learn how to be more tolerant when you share a space with many. In my case, I should be more tolerant since I live in Dubai, a city that hosts hundreds of nationalities. But yesterday, my tolerant level went from very good to 'Oh, please don't push it' and I had to bit my tongue and clenched my fists, stopping myself from tapping on her shoulder and say
"Which bit of queuing is it, that you don't understand?"
It happens to me all the time! In the supermarket, the teller-machine, the bank even at the airport! I can understand if they are 8 or 10 or even 12 but how do you educate full grown adults this basic etiquette?
At last I just exhaled and decided I was not going to waste my breath and spoiled my mood but I guess it showed a bit in these pictures that were taken afterwards!

Your expression in that first photo is PRICELESS. It's hard to be in a place that doesn't have the same norms for waiting/queuing as we might be used to. I lived in Spain for a few years and in some places it was taken very seriously (at the bus stop, of all places), and other places it was an irritating free-for-all. You look so elegant in the black and red!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yeah, I was pissed off. But then again, you can't change people, they have to make the change and hopefully one day they'd see the 'light' :)

I LOVE your necklace! It's gorgeous! And the queuing - I spent a lot of time in a culture that didn't queue very well, and being English background it was hard. I'm kind of used to it now but it took a while!
