Moto Jacket and Motor Show

Yesterday, after we sent the twins off on a school camping trip, Captain and I decided to check out the Motor Show and later had dinner at The Walk Jumeirah Residence.   Since we were going to a motor show and it was by the beach, I decided to take my Balenciaga Moto Jacket out for a spin.  This could be the last time for me to be able to wear the jacket until next winter as the temperature is getting warmer by the day!

The show was small but Captain had a good time browsing his favourite cars.  It was nice seeing him smiling and excitedly going from car to car, passionately talking to me about engines and horse power.   I know that he is still a bit sad and missing his father and there is nothing that anyone can do about it.  Time will heal his pain..

    1. Shaz, the ASOS jacket is beautiful! It has all the characteristic of a moto jacket, plus at that price it is a steal! You should get it and label is nothing, it is about the fit. Hmm, I haven't got one in black yet ;)

    1. Hi, Resham! Nice to hear from you again! If the sizing and fit for the jacket you meant, mine is in 38. I am a size 2 or small US, 5'3" and 52kg. I can fit into a 36 too but will not be able to fully zip up if I layer it. Please let me know if I got you right :)

    2. Ok...I did note this down. I was planning to buy mine online...So needed a guideline. I am just 5 feet... Usually the sleeves of most of the jackets are big on me... I am top heavy too...(unnecessarily blessed) so I have to go size up...and the sleeves end up being too long...Sorry for the ramble...

  9. Great outfit. How are you finding Dubai? I used to love it there and both for work and relaxation. We came back one more time to see the Atlantis, but where, ten years ago, I used to find the scale and pace exhilarating, now I find the ultimate example of man's mastery over nature incredibly depressing so not sure if we'll be back except for work. Although I do envy you the weather, it is raining here (again!) ...

    1. Hi, Alex (if I may :)) I've been here for 7 years and I must agree with you. It is getting a bit too busy and crowded for my taste. Once there was no traffic jam now, I have to find alternative route to be back home by certain time. I also feel that Dubai has lost its identity.. I can always go to the States and get the same thing I have here even better, where's the difference? It turning into a concrete jungle..

Thanks for dropping by. It's nice to hear others voicing out opinion on Dubai. :)

  11. Thank you for the sweet comment you've left on my blog. BTW, I enjoyed reading your introduction. I couldn't agree more about Buying less, wearing more concept. The color and cut of the Balenciaga jacket suits you beautifully. Reading blogs is a dangerous hobby because they're bottomless pit of temptation!
